Tangub residence hit by fire

The Bureau of Fire Protection estimated the total damage caused by a fire that hit a two-storey residential building at Block 8, Villa Cristina Subdivision, Brgy. Tangub, Bacolod City 11:34 p.m. Wednesday at about P60,000.

No injury or fatality was reported after the fire broke out in the second floor of the house owned by Juan Verde Gregorio.

Initial investigation showed that the fire originated from a room on the southwest portion of the second floor of the house occupied by a sharer. The fire was under control at about 11:55 p.m.

Bacolod Fire Marshall Chief Insp. Rodel Legaspi yesterday said the fire was totally put out at about 12:08 pm yesterday because it had materials made of hardwood.

The BFP is still investigating the cause of fire.*
