The city government of Talisay, Negros Occidental yesterday launched “Tanyag Talisay 2026: Empowering Enterprise Week,” which will run from January 13 to 17, at the Activity Center, Ayala Malls Capitol Central.
With the theme “Crafted by Heritage, Powered by Innovation,” the week-long event celebrates the creativity, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit of Taliseños by bringing together 20 local creative, agricultural, and cottage industries, alongside six homegrown visual artists in one dynamic marketplace and exhibit.
According to a press release, Tanyag Talisay 2026 highlights the city’s commitment to inclusive local economic development by providing a platform for micro, small, and community-based enterprises to showcase their products, innovations, and stories. From farm-to-table goods and sustainable livelihood products to robotics, food innovations, and bamboo crafts, the exhibit reflects how tradition and innovation intersect to drive growth.
Participating exhibitors include The Old Farmhouse, Coop Tiangge, Sustainable Livelihood Program Association / Talisay City Council for Women, Cathy’s Green Flight, Balay Kalubihan, Sitio Catabla Ambulong Farmers and Farm Workers Association, Rural Improvement Club–City of Talisay, Inocencio V. Ferrer School of Fisheries, Talentadong Taliseñong Kabataan (TATAK), Guerrero Farm, Mechatronics and Robotics Society of the Philippines–TUP Visayas, Dedi’s, Yoki, Tastebuds, Plantsville Health, Atchara King, Cookies ‘N Crumbs, Kafelipinas, Ant’s Corner, and Ricardo’s Bamboo Miniature.
Adding a strong cultural dimension to the event are featured Talisay artists Ramon de los Santos, Pablita Nava, Cora Soriano, Princy Martir, Anna May Torres Lacson, and Ryn Paul Gonzales, whose works celebrate identity, community, and local expression.*
