Twenty teens – 10 in the male category and another 10 in the female category – are vying for the titles at stake in the second edition of the Mr. and Ms. Teen MassKara pageant, a production of JCI Bacolod.

The competition, to be held at the Bacolod City College on October 15 at 5 p.m., is one of the highlights of the 43rd MassKara Festival in Bacolod City.

Gelacio Parreñas, production director, said that six candidates will be crowned during the pageant night – Mr. and Ms. Teen Masskara 2022, Mr. and Ms. Teen JCI Charity and Mr. and Ms. Teen Tourism.

He said the following special awards for both male and female candidates will likewise be presented – best in festival costume, swimwear, long gown/formal wear, talent, congeniality, and photogenic.

In addition, organizers said, corporate awards will be given during the pageant night along with recognition for the festival costume designers.

The male candidates are Jorge Anthony Magluyan of Barangay 1; Gabriel Luis Decolongon, Brgy. Montevista; Glen Yvan Lambot, Brgy. 40; Jessie Louis Ledesma, Brgy. Vista Alegre; Michael Joseph Moraña, Brgy. Mansilingan;

Adrian Kurt Binguan, Brgy. Sum-ag; John Colyn Espeleta, Brgy. Tangub; Gabriel Anthony Cañete, Brgy. Estefania; Jose Miguel Rojas, Brgy. Bata; and Angelo Joshua Moudebelu of Brgy. Singcang-Airport.

The female aspirants are Stephanie Kyle Salimbot of Barangay Vista Alegre; Angelique Shelie Hijara, Brgy. Mansilingan; Julianah Cassandra Makilan, Brgy. Sum-ag; Alyana Marie Susana, Brgy. Taculing; Lyzabelle Blythe Villa, Brgy. Bata;

Crizel Ann Joy Provido, Brgy. Singcang-Airport; Sophia Kaye Zaragoza, Brgy. Vista Alegre; Jeepy Marie Gambito, Brgy. Singcang-Airport; Clarabelle Faith Ligacion, Brgy. Villamonte; and Mary Kate Carmona of Brgy. Singcang-Airport.

JCI’s Chino Macam Pineda, event overall chairman, said pre-pageant activities include a visit at the FMR (Favorite Music Radio) Bacolod and a press presentation, as well as an effective communication and personality development workshop with Japhet Jingco and Ana Lou Panganiban of Better Academie Training Center as moderators and lecturers.

The pre-pageant and talent presentation will be on October 8 at 3 p.m., at the Atrium of the Robinsons Place Bacolod.
