Murder ranked second in terms of crimes perpetrated last month in Negros Occidental, next to theft, police records show.
Records of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office showed that 13 murder cases were committed in October this year, compared 16 thefts.
Following the thefts and murders was rape with eight, robbery -7, homicide – 5, physical injury – 4 and carnapping of motorcycle – 2.
Of the 321 total crime incidents, 225 were declared as solved, with 81 under investigation.*
