Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez recently led the groundbreaking ceremony for three new projects in Victorias City, Negros Occidental, namely the New Victorias Motorpool Facility and two new Child Development Centers
The New Victorias City Motorpool Facility will rise at Hda. Ofelia, Barangay XIV, Victorias City.
The facility is designed to provide ample space for the maintenance, repair, and storage of city vehicles – ultimately improving the efficiency of fleet operations and meeting the growing transport and logistical needs of Victorias.
In his message during the April 15 series of groundbreaking rites, Benitez explained that he recognized the long-overdue need for a new motorpool to enable the city to procure additional service vehicles to address various operational requirements.
The mayor also shared his vision of acquiring electric vehicles in the future for a more eco-friendly approach to logistical transportation within Victorias.
The New Motorpool Facility is a joint venture between contractors, Supreme ABF Construction & Construction Supply Co. Inc. and EMR Builders & Development Corporation.
The contractors were represented by Paolo Rojas, Pauline Antoinette Saldaña, Engr. Fritz Baguna, and Engr. Renico Jason Baylon.
Punong Barangay Angelo Dorado of Barangay XIV and the Barangay XIV Council were present during the ceremony.
Meanwhile, two new Child Development Centers will soon rise at Villa Victorias, Barangay XIII.
The project aims to provide a secure and conducive learning environment for young learners, funded through the Special Education Fund.
Benitez, in a statement issued by the City Public Information Office, underscored the importance of providing early learners with both financial and developmental support to ensure they are not left behind and are equipped to excel.
He also emphasized that the initiative is a testament to Victorias City’s continuing commitment to its Inclusive Education Agenda.
The Child Development Centers in Villa Victorias are being constructed by TMTC Construction & Supply Corporation.
