The people of Western Visayas are very satisfied with the performance of the police in the region for the 1st and 2nd Semester 2022, according to a Web-Based Online Survey conducted by the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division (RCADD) of Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6).

Out of the highest rating of 5.00, PRO6 got the following ratings based on the five measured parameters: Safety Index – 4.78, Respect Index – 4.82, Trust Index – 4.78, Impact of Police-Community Initiated Activities – 4.74, and the Effectiveness of Information Operation Activities – 4.74.

In a statement, the PRO 6 disclosed that 22,794 individuals coming from different ages, sex, educational attainment, employment and status in life, ranging from the age of 10 to 60 years and above, participated in the online survey.

It added that PRO6 is very happy that it surpassed the rating of the same survey conducted in 2016 which only yielded a “Satisfied” result.

It only goes to show that all the plans, programs, operations, initiatives and other activities of the PNP in the region were effective and felt by the community, regional spokesperson PMaj. Mary Grace Socorro Borio said.

PRO6 is positive it can gain same response this year, with the plan to commission a 3rd Party Survey to affirm the results and to continuously monitor the “Very Satisfied” community towards the police in Western Visayas, Borio added.

PBrig. Gen. Leo Francisco, PRO6 chief, said he appreciates and is thankful to the trust and confidence given by the community to the police in Western Visayas.*
