Thunderbolts strike Milers, Titans halts Tornadoes

The Fil-Sino 1st ALA Group of Companies Basketball Cup continued with the Foton Thunderbolts facing the Foton Harabas Milers. The latter jumped out to a strong start to take the lead in the first quarter, 21-11, but the former clawed their way back and were able to enter halftime trailing by only 2-points.

The third quarter was all Thunderbolts, as they won the frame 18-8, and the momentum carried over into the fourth quarter, leading to a deserved 79-69 victory against the Foton Harabas Milers. 

Archie Moreno led the Foton Thunderbolts with 19 points. Siote Tan grabbed the player of the game honors with three buckets from the rainbow line to score 13 points, while Ogie Ureta tallied 10. Carl Ginete led the Foton Harabas Milers with 18 points, followed by Beejay Paredes with 14, while Francis Tulbo and Kendrick Deloria contributed 8 each.

The other game was between Chery Tiggo Cross Titans and Foton Tornado Blazers, where the former jumped out to an early one-point after one quarter. A better effort from the Blazers in the second allowed them to tie the game at 38 all by halftime.

Both sides were rolling in the third, where the Titans outscored the Blazers, to take a seven point lead entering the final frame, 55-48. The Chery Tiggo Cross Titans stayed in front for most of the fourth to take control down the stretch and close out another win against the Foton Tornado Blazers with a final score of 83-76. 

The Titans were led by Keith Ramos, who finished with 19 points along with Player of the game honors, while Jason Yap and Bambam Gilbor tallied 11 points apiece.  Meanwhile, DK Equipaje  led the Foton Tornado Blazers with 19 points, Edward Baniel followed up with 14, and Enzo Benedicto added 12 points.*
