Tiktok, one of the three dogs that was shot five times with improvised “Indian arrows” in the municipality of Murcia, Negros Occidental, died in an accident while in foster care.

The news was announced by the BACH Project PH, who said that Tiktok was being fostered to protect her from a distemper outbreak at their shelter. However, she reportedly slipped out of the foster home, ran into the street, and was struck by a car.

“She was supposed to be safe. She was supposed to have more time,” the rescue group said.

Tiktok first gained public attention after her case of extreme animal cruelty last February, where she was found with multiple improvised arrows, known locally as “Indian arrows,” embedded in her body.

The incident sparked public outrage and a call for justice, with a cash reward offered for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators.

Tiktok was one of three dogs in Murcia to have been a victim of this type of cruelty, alongside another dog named Buldog, and a recent victim named Maxi.

A final viewing and cremation service for Tiktok has been scheduled for today at Green Meadows Pet Aftercare – Pet Cremation in Negros.*
