About 30 young Negrense visual artists, members of the Guhit Pinas – Negros Occidental Chapter, opened a month-long group art exhibit at Tippy’s Bistro, 10th-Lacson Street, Bacolod City on July 9.
Titled “Bugal sang Negros”, the show features the works of Francis Menente, Dominic Jaranilla, Angel Mae Patrata, James Estimada, Angelico Tubio, Roshian Langreo, Jessie Emmanuel Martelino;
Denews Jaudian Fronteras, Maeden Faye De Los Santos, Jaime Vicera, Joshua Mananap, Arvin Belicano, Ryuel Dame Cordero, Jeffrey Balinas Jr., Psyche Amor Distor, Christopher John Puerta;
Christine Grace Marfil, Jonel Peñol, Karlo Lamera, Leodulph Yulo, Christian Villaruel, George Elemento lll, John Ryan Locsin, Angela Ceberte, John Michael Vincent Buglosa, Sardis Zia Balgos, Rez and Lizaloren Galvez, Jobram Besa and Jammel Duropan.
Menete, GP president, said their objective is to guide young artists by helping them hone their skills, as well as conduct mural paintings in schools during the conduct of Brigada Eskwela for free.
Grizzly Mae Susana Singahan, GP vice president, said they also conduct art jams in different cities in the province where they meet up to teach members how to paint in watercolor.*
