The hospital chief of the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City, Negros Occidental,has been designated as an Undersecretary of the Department of Health.
Dr. Mary Ann Maestral, designated as DOH Undersecretary, was among the 65 newly appointed officials in various government agencies under the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Maestral was appointed TLJPH chief by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson in 2021.
Congratulating her new appointment, Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez said that Dr. Maestral brings extensive experience and dedication to her new role.
“May you continue to serve our province and many more communities,” Benitez said.*
