To ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for both local and international visitors during the ongoing MassKara Festival 2025, the Bacolod City Government, through the City Tourism Development Office, has activated tourism information desks (TIDs) in key areas across the city.
According to a press release, the TIDs are strategically located in malls, hotels, and transport hubs – including the Bacolod-Silay Airport, BREDCO Port, SM City Bacolod, Robinsons Bacolod, Ayala Malls Capitol Central, and hotels. These stations serve as accessible help desks for festival-goers, providing event schedules, venue directions, tourism brochures, and travel information.
Staffed by tourism personnel and trained student volunteers, the booths aim to make information and assistance readily available to visitors – ensuring that everyone can navigate and enjoy the festival highlights with ease.
As part of Bacolod’s signature hospitality, VIPs and arriving guests at the ports and airport were also welcomed with leis, symbolizing the city’s warm and festive spirit of greeting visitors with smiles and local charm.
Chief Tourism Operations Officer Ma. Teresa Manalili shared that the initiative reflects the city’s goal of strengthening tourism accessibility and service excellence, “The information desks ensure that tourists have easy access to reliable details about the festival and our attractions. It’s our way of bringing assistance closer to where the people are,” she said.
Manalili added that this initiative aligns with Bacolod’s vision of promoting a welcoming, organized and service-oriented tourism environment, especially during major events like the MassKara Festival.
The tourism information desks are now actively operating in various strategic locations across the city and will continue to serve visitors until October 19. This initiative is being carried out in coordination with the partner schools, and participating establishments.*
