The Bacolod City Tourism Development Office encouraged the faithful to explore the churches across the different Vicariates of Bacolod during the Lenten season.
“As we reflect on the passion of Christ this Holy Week, may we be reminded to keep this season sacred and meaningful. The cherished tradition of Visita Iglesia invites the faithful to visit and pray in various churches-renewing one’s faith, seeking peace and embracing a deeper connection with the Divine,” a press release from the BCTDO said.
The Bacolod City churches are as follows:
Vicariate of Sum-ag: San Juan Nepomuceno Church, St. John Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Our Lady of Compassion, Gardenville; Sto. Niño Parish, Aning; and San Isidro Labrador Parish.
Vicariate of Abad: San Antonio Abad Parish, Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Parish; St. Joseph the Worker; Holy Family, City Heights; San Nicolas de Tolentino Oratory; and Sacred Heart Seminary.
Vicariate of Alijis: St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church; Immaculate Conception, Bakyas; Holy Family, Handumanan; Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Parish; and Our Mother of Perpetual Help Chaplaincy.
Vicariate of Estefania: Triumph of the Holy Cross; Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish & Shrine; Our Lady of Candles; Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal (Montevista); Our Lady of Lourdes; Sto. Niño Chaplaincy (Lausanne); and San Antonio de Padua.
