The MassKara Festival, held in October 2024, drew in 98,563 visitors, showing a 24.03 percent rise compared to the previous year. This marks the festival’s continued resurgence as a major cultural and tourism draw for both local and international guests.

Additionally, the city welcomed 125,491 same-day tourists in 2024, further boosting local businesses in the food, retail, and transportation sectors.

Based on the annual overview, Bacolod’s overnight tourist arrivals have steadily climbed over the years, rising from pandemic lows in 2020 and 2021 to sustained growth in 2022, 2023, and 2024.

The City Government, through the Tourism Office led by Chief Tourism Operations Officer Ma. Teresa Manalili remains committed to strengthening Bacolod’s position as a top destination in the Philippines under the banner “Smile, You’re in Bacolod!” and in support of the Department of Tourism’s “Love the Philippines” campaign.*
