A 44-year-old resident of Barangay Banago passed away at the hospital after being shot multiple times by unidentified assailants on the evening of February 19.
The victim, identified as Joffrey Jaducan, a tricycle driver and resident of Purok Katilingban, succumbed to his injuries despite emergency medical intervention at the Riverside Medical Center.
Jaducan was reportedly standing along the roadside with a friend at approximately 9:30 p.m. when the gun attack occurred.
Initial investigations by Police Station 3 of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) reveal that two male suspects on a red motorcycle stopped in front of the victim and opened fire, striking him in various parts of his body.
The perpetrators, one wearing a helmet and black jacket, and the other a bonnet and black t-shirt, fled the scene immediately.
The BCPO has officially launched a hot pursuit operation and is currently reviewing evidence to establish the identity of the suspects and the motive behind the fatal attack.
Authorities are encouraging anyone with information regarding the incident or the whereabouts of the unidentified suspects to contact Police Station 3.*
