For the third consecutive year, the Technological University of the Philippines Visayas (TUPV) in Talisay City, Negros Occidental has bagged the 100 percent passing performance in the recent Chemical Technicians Licensure Examination which was held on October 14-15.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Monday that 592 out of 1,088 passed the Chemists Licensure Examination (Computer-Based and Paper & Pencil) and 2,110 out of 2,711 passed the Chemical Technicians Licensure Examination in October 2024.
TUPV emerged as the Top Performing School, boasting a perfect 100 percent passing rate, surpassing the 77. 83 percent national passing rate, with all successful 67 exam takers as per Commission Resolution No. 2017-1058 (C) series of 2017, courtesy of PRC.
Two TUPVians, Kristine Magbanua and Gritchen Pontino placed top 2 and 3 with a score of 91 percent and 90.5 percent rating, respectively. The University likewise produced 23 new Chemists with a passing rate of 82.14 percent (23/28), surpassing the national passing rate of 54.41 percent in the Chemists Licensure Exam.
