Bacolod Mayor Greg Gasataya has formed a Technical Working Group (TWG) yesterday, for the creation of health insurance benefits for all city hall employees.
The group will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of a P7,000 annual medical allowance for qualified personnel.
“We will continue to provide the things that our people expect from all of us,” Gasataya said.
Atty. Mark Steven Mayo, city administrator, will serve as the chairperson along with the City Budget Officer Ma. Imelda Williams as vice chairperson.
The initiative follows the recent approval of the second tranche of a salary increase for city government workers.
Gasataya said that they will implement the salary adjustment starting August 15, to around 1,300 regular employees and plantilla casuals.*
