Two persons were arrested by joint elements of the Special Operations Unit of the Police Regional Office 6, Drug Enforcement Unit, and Police Station 2 in a buy-bust operation at the parking lot of a mall in Bacolod City at about 3:45 p.m. yesterday.
P/Captain Vincent Paul Pendon said Susana Diaz, 62, of Purok Sigay, Bacolod, and Jose Carlos, 21, of Brgy. Guinhalaran in Silay City, Negros Occidental, were nabbed with P680,000 worth of suspected shabu.
Pendon said the two were arrested after one of them transacted with a police poseur buyer at the parking lot of Ayala Malls Capitol Central.
Confiscated from them were a plastic bag containing suspected shabu, weighing approximately 100 grams, P1,000 in cash, and the boodle money used in the transaction, the police added. Pendon said the two are considered high value individuals operating in Bacolod and neighboring cities.*
