Unidentified gunmen separately shot and killed two men on Thursday, in cities of La Carlota and Himamaylan, Negros Occidental, according to the police.
A 32-year-old tricycle driver was shot to death by an unidentified gunman, in front of his wife and child, at Barangay 2 Poblacion in La Carlota City.
The victim succumbed to a gunshot wound on his left chest and was reported by the police to have been declared dead on arrival at the Don Salvador Benedicto Memorial District Hospital in La Carlota City.
The suspect, who was armed with a caliber .45 pistol, immediately fled after the shooting incident.
Two unidentified suspects also gunned down a 28-year-old man on Thursday in Brgy. Mahalang, Himamaylan City.
Initial police investigation indicates that one of the two suspects approached the victim and his mother, drew the gun and without any reason shot the victim thrice, before fleeing the crime scene.
The victim, who succumbed to a gunshot wound at the back, was immediately brought to the Governor Valeriano Gatuslao Memorial District Hospital in Himamaylan City, where he was declared dead on arrival, according to the police.
The police are still investigating the two shooting incidents.*
