Two riders died in separate motorcycle-related accidents in barangays Pahanocoy and Tangub in Bacolod City Saturday and Friday, Station 8 commander, P/Captain Jun Ray Batadlan said yesterday.
He identified the fatalities as Anthony Jentelizo, 48, of NHA Village in Brgy. Pahanocoy, and Rene Caceres, 54, of Ramylu, in Tangub.

Batadlan said Jentelizo, a lending collector, was heading south of Araneta Street on his SRM motorcycle at about 8:30 p.m. Friday when he rammed into the center island in front of Medalla Integrated School in Brgy. Pahanocoy.
Investigation conducted by P/Msgt. Randy Abello showed that the impact caused Jentelizo to roll about 35 feet from where the accident took place and he sustained head injuries that caused his instantaneous death.
Bataldan noted that Jentelizo had a helmet but he was not wearing it when the accident happened and that he was observed to be under the influence of alcohol.
Food delivery driver Caceres was also heading south of Araneta Street in Brgy. Tangub on his Honda XRM125 motorcycle when he figured in an accident at about 4:15 p.m. Saturday.
P/MSgt. Cerilo Arollado said his investigation showed that Caceres tried to overtake another motorcycle upon reaching the area in front of Transcom call center.
Caceres’ motorcycle hit the rear tire of the Mazda 3 vehicle driven by Charlie Alcocino, 49, of Gardenville Subdivision, Brgy. Tangub, and that caused him to fell to the ground and lose consciousness, Arollado said. Arollado added that Caceres, who had no visible injuries and was wearing his helmet, was rushed to the Bacolod South General Hospital but he was declared dead by an attending physician.*
