Two more gun ban violators have been arrested by the police on January 12 in Negros Occidental, bringing to three the total number of persons arrested for the violation within this week.
Policemen recovered a 9mm revolver with three ammunition from Ruben Sayson, who was arrested on Wednesday in Hacienda Alegria, Brgy. Cabahug, Cadiz City, for creating trouble in the place.
The Cadiz City police also recovered three suspected sachets of shabu from Sayson, a 45-year-old laborer who is now locked up in jail.
The apprehension of Cornelio Suaner, 48, for violation of the Comelec gun ban at the public market of Brgy. Carol-an in Kabankalan City, yielded a .357 caliber revolver with five ammunition and an empty shell in its cylinder, police said.
Prior to his arrest, Suaner was reported to have been under the influence of liquor and creating trouble at the public market, a report of the Kabankalan City Police Station said.
Early this week, a motorist was intercepted and arrested by the police for violating the Comelec gun ban in Kabankalan City.*
