Two 15-year-old football players from Bacolod City, Javier Cuadra and Jebb Salceda, have been selected to play in the U16 Philippine team for the 2022 ASEAN Football Federation which kicked off on July 31 in Indonesia.
Javier is a second-year student at the University of St. La Salle. He’s the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Songo Cuadra of Jesusa Heights in Bacolod City and has been playing for Jesusa FC 07 football team since elementary school. He will play as a defender in the national team.
Jebb Salceda hails from San Carlos City and is slated to be the national team’s goal goalkeeper.
Both young Negrense footballers passed the screening test held in Metro Manila where 108 players from all over of the country participated.*
