Police stations 2 and 7 in Bacolod City have new chiefs.

P/Capt. Jun Ray Batadlan now heads PS2, after P/Capt. Leo Estopa was put on quarantine for having been exposed to Covid-positive personnel.

Batadlan had just finished the officers’ advance course at the Police Regional Office-6 in Iloilo.

Estopa said he was exposed to his deputy and team leader, and the driver of the station’s patrol vehicle.

These virus-hit personnel are asymptomatic and were already transferred to a quarantine facility of the city, Estopa said.

The remaining Station 2 personnel who have been exposed were also subjected to swab testing, including Estopa.

Last week, a detainee and four police officers at Station 2 tested positive for coronavirus disease.

Meanwhile, P/Capt. Eufracio Javines is the new chief of Station 7, replacing P/Insp. Florentino Abalayan, who was transferred to the Bacolod City Police Office’s Administration Unit.*
