Two suspects in the shooting of a pastor on July 28 in Sitio Tabangka, Brgy. Tan-awan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, have been identified.
The two suspects in the shooting of Abner Navarro, 58, pastor of the Grace Baptist Church, were identified by a witness as Totong Andana and Nonoy Andana, both residents of the place, the police said.
Navarro, who sustained two gunshot wounds, is now in stable condition, the Kabankalan City police said.
Silas Bokingkito, brother-in-law of the victim, told the police that Navarro was checking a person holding a flashlight near the church, when he was shot.
P/Lt. Dennis Melgarejo, Kabankalan City deputy police chief, said that robbery may have been the motive for the shooting incident.*
