A collision between two trucks yesterday in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, left one person dead and several others injured.
The crash resulted in the immediate death of a barangay health aide, while both drivers and remaining passengers sustained serious injuries.
The incident occurred at 9 a.m. in Sitio Punod, Barangay Rizal, when a downhill-bound Hino truck collided with an uphill-bound Canter truck carrying local health and government personnel.
The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office Rescue Team transported all injured victims to the San Carlos City Hospital for medical treatment.
Both vehicles are currently in police custody as authorities continue their investigation into the incident.*
