Orange Project co-founder Charlie Co led the opening of a group art exhibition titled “Unbound” at Patria’s, Silay City on May 5, which will run for three months.

The show features the works of Negrense artists Abyan Tan, Alain and Alden Macazar, Antonio Pecson, Chalmer Relatorre, Chucks Ybañez, Dynalyn Tan, Joemel Magno, Jose Neil Orbecido, Jun Kho, Mei Lonasco, Patricia Larayos, Ren Dayon, Rose Jemino, and Sony Golez.

“Unbound” is a celebration of freedom – freedom from expectation, from limitation, and from silence, a statement from the group said.

This exhibit brings together works that resist confinement, pushing past the borders of form, tradition, and identity.

Each piece is a declaration, a shedding of constraint, revealing raw emotion and truth beneath the surface.

In Unbound, artists explore the tension between vulnerability and strength, chaos and clarity. Through color, texture, and movement, they unravel narratives that have long been held in place.

This exhibit invites viewers to witness liberation in its many forms: personal, cultural, spiritual, and to reflect on what it means to break free.

This exhibit was born from a question: What lies beyond the frame? In a world where we are constantly defined, confined, and sometimes even silenced—what does it mean to create without restriction? Unbound is a celebration of breaking limits: artistic, emotional, cultural, and even personal.

Here, you’ll encounter works that resist categorization—paintings that spill off the canvas, digital pieces that stretch into the real world, and sculptures that challenge gravity itself. Every piece is an act of defiance against the idea that art must be neat, polite, or predictable.

The artists in this exhibit come from diverse backgrounds, each with their own story of pushing against boundaries—be it societal norms, identity, tradition, or medium. They’ve chosen to speak in bold lines, raw textures, and unconventional forms, reminding us that freedom in art often reflects the deeper freedoms we all seek.*
