Bacolod Transport President Rudy Catedral said that at least 700 unconsolidated jeepney drivers from their group BACOD/Manibela were among included in the first batch of the fuel subsidy payout in Bacolod.
He said that approximately 85 percent to 90 percent of their group’s members were included in the payout, and an estimated 10 percent were left out of the current list.
He clarified that the organization had submitted the required documentation and noted that the issue also affects various cooperatives, corporations, and unconsolidated groups.
“We submitted the necessary requirements for this assistance,” Catedral said.
Catedral has instructed all association presidents to submit the complete names of members who have not yet received the subsidy.
He intends to present the list to LTFRB VI Regional Director Richard Osmeña this coming Monday for a dialogue to determine why the individuals were not processed.
Catedral also appealed for the release of a second tranche of the subsidy, citing the continued impact of the economic crisis on the local transport sector.
The announcement came during the first batch of the distribution of the P5,000 fuel subsidy.*
