United Negros Basketball Cup games resume this weekend at the Msgr. John Liu Activity Center, St. John’s Institute.
In the curtain raiser, both Alangilan National High School and Bata National High School will be looking for their first victory in Court 1, while Colegio De Sta. Ana De Victorias will tangle with Bacolod City National High School in Court 2 at 1 p.m.
St. John’s Institute will be gunning for victory number 3 against University of St. La Salle, while Court 1 action will see Trinity Christian School going for the same objective against La Consolacion College Bacolod.
Bacolod Tay Tung High School and Colegio San Agustin will stake their unbeaten record at 3:40 pm as they go up against St. Joseph School-La Salle and University of Negros Occidental, respectively.
On January 14, LCC-B goes up against CSAB and UNO-R will lock horns with BCNHS at 1 p.m.
TCS will try to remain unbeaten against CSAV, while SJI faces BNHS at 2:20 p.m.
Meanwhile, BTTHS is favored to coast past ANHS, while USLS will play SJS-LS in the 3:40 p.m. encounter.
The top 3 teams in each bracket will advance to the playoffs with the top team in each bracket earning a bye in the 1st round while the top 2 and 3 teams will play in crossover knockout matches to determine the semifinalist.
The elimination round will end on January 20 and the start of the playoffs will be on January 21.*
