
The University of Negros Occidental- Recoletos Incorporated honored twenty-six employees during the 2024 Service Awards Night held at the Resort Negrense on September 10.
This year’s recipients of the Star of Tolentine awards, given to retiring employees covered by the current school year were College of Engineering Dean Christopher Taclobos, former College of Criminal Justice Education Dean Jasmin Parreño, College of Arts and Sciences Faculty Jane Ajos, and Property Admin Staff Quirico Yanguas Jr.
Meanwhile, this year’s recipients of the St. Ezekiel Moreno Awards were, for their 35th year of service, Yolanda Fernandez (COEng), Marlene Gelotin, Ma. Luisa Papa and Lyn Villarente (Integrated School), and Ma. Judy Legaspi (Pres. Office). For their 30th year of service are Cendyl Ayagan, Mary Jane Concel (IS), Mary Jane Barayoga (Accounting office), Maria Kanaway Blanco (Library), and Marilou Calaguing (CAMHS office), and Mr. Jovito Moral for his 25th year of service. The St.Ezekiel Moreno Award is given to an employee who has served the University for 25, 30, 35 years and above.
The recipients of the Diwa Recoleto Awards for their 20th year of service were Dean Sheila Arnibal (CAMHS) and Rogelio Montinola (Maintenance Department). Celebrating their 15th year of service were Dean Jasmin Parreño (RBGS), Venus Blancia, Vanessa Candelario, Arlene Esplanada, Nice Joy Tordillos, and Diane Rose Tagle from Integrated School.
For their ten years of service were Krizzia Vanessa Acibron (IS), Lyn Torreblanca (Accounting), and Jeho Vidal (Property Admin Office). The program opened with the formalities, with Fr. Amadeo Lucero, OAR, VP Admin, Finance and HRMDO Director, giving the rationale and welcome address while Fr. Joel Alve, OAR, gave the President’s message.
The awarding ceremony was held after dinner. On behalf of the recipients of the Diwa Recoleto Awards, Dean Shiela Arnibal gave the response, while Ma. Judy Legaspi gave a response on behalf of the recipients of the St. Ezekiel Moreno Awards.
On the other hand, each recipient of the Star of Tolentine Awards gave their responses, after which, Fr. Leo Alaras, OAR, VP-IFM, gave the closing remarks.*
