A piglet with four ears, two bodies, eight feet, and two tails, died shortly after it was born in Purok Gabi, Barangay Malingin in Bago City, Negros Occidental, Thursday.
The owner, Rommel Regacho, 36, who works as a security guard at the Provincial Capitol in Bacolod City, said it was his first time to see a pig with a single head but too many body parts, since he and his wife, Maria Eden, 38, started raising pigs in 2011.
The five other piglets survived, but the odd one that came third, did not.
Regacho said he tried to revive the unusual piglet, which many said
would bring luck, to no avail.
He buried it in their backyard, believing it could still give them good luck.
Regacho and his wife have three daughters. He has worked as a security guard for 17 years, and has a swine business.*
