USLS declares no classes, work for EDSA day

• CHRYSEE G. SAMILLANO

The University of St. La Salle in Bacolod City issued an advisory declaring February 25 as a special non-class, non-work day, despite a Palace order declaring it a special working holiday.

The declaration of USLS is in solidarity with De La Salle Philippines (DLSP) schools in honoring the spirit and commemorating the anniversary of the 39th EDSA People Power Revolution.

“On this day, Lasallians are encouraged to take time to reflect on our faith, uphold our values, and deepen our awareness of history as we continue working toward a just and compassionate society,” the advisory said.

USLS remains steadfast to its commitment to truth, freedom, justice, and democracy, it added.

Meanwhile, Richard Gelangre, chair of the Bacolod City Public School Teachers Association, said public schools have classes tomorrow because it is a working holiday.*
