USLS, Sahmyook Health University partner for academic exchange

The University of St. La Salle formalized its partnership with Sahmyook Health University on January 14 through the signing of a memorandum of understanding held at USLS, aimed to promote academic exchanges between both institutions.

Representing USLS at the signing were Brother President Br. Joaquin Severino Martinez, FSC, DMin, University Chancellor Minnie O. Chua, and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Annabelle C. Balor  while Sahmyook Health University was represented by Ju Hyun Jae, Director of the International Affairs Office, on behalf of their President, Park Joo Hee.

According to a press release, the signed memorandum covers a five-year cooperation with the two universities expected to actively cooperate in managing selected international students and collaborate on joint curriculum, research, publications, and student support initiatives, including job hunting activities and scholarships.

It also includes hosting seminars, academic conferences, and offering Korean language courses at the USLS Language Learning Center.

Sahmyook Health University is a South Korean based – university grounded on fostering professionals promoting health and welfare of the country and local communities based on Christian education philosophy under the fundamental ideology of education in Korea.

Its expertise include producing professionals equipped to contribute to the improvement of public health and develop international-level understanding and communities through programs focusing in the Medical field, Child Care, Education and Social Welfare.*
