BY GILBERT P. BAYORAN

Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez issued an executive order increasing the salary of job order workers being employed by the Victorias City government.

A job order worker will now receive a salary hike of P103 a day, increasing the rate from P347 to P450 per day.

Benitez also created the Local Drinking Water Quality Monitoring Committee, as well as reconstituting the Victorias City Anti-Red Tape Committee.

On the other hand, Benitez also turned over recently a two-storey building, composed of six classrooms, whose construction was facilitated by the Security Bank Foundation Inc., to the school officials of the Victorias City National High School.

The six classrooms had a budget of P12 million.

The turnover rites were attended by Vice Mayor Abelardo Bantug and Councilor Derek Palanca, chairperson of the Victorias City Council committee on Education, among others.

The City Schools Division of Victorias, Ateneo De Manila University, and De La Salle Philippines Inc. also formed part of the school project.*
