The Synergeia Foundation has conferred Victorias City the Seal of Good Education Governance for the Outstanding Performance of the Local School Board in Enabling All Children to Finish Schooling at the End of the School Year at the Philippine International Convention Center on February 6 in Manila.
The recognition is awarded to outstanding local governments that demonstrate good governance in the delivery of basic education, a statement from the Victorias City government said.
The achievement reflects the city’s commitment to providing quality education for every child in Victorias, it added, stressing “it is a testament to the strong collaboration between the local government, DepEd Victorias, educators, parents, and stakeholders in ensuring that no child is left behind in education.”
On the other hand, the Department of Education Region – Western Visayas recently conferred a citation plaque to La Castellana Mayor Alme Rhummyla Gilua Nicor-Mangilimutan in appreciation of her invaluable support in advancing the programs and initiatives of the Department of Education that played a vital role in producing more champions in the Region 6.*
