Ahead of the Sidlak Victorias Obstacle Race this September, Victorias City Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez signed the memoranda of agreement with Asenso Sidlak Foundation Inc. and Musang Obstacle Race Team on September 5.

Victorias LGU will host Sidlak Victorias Obstacle Race, the first-ever ultimate obstacle race challenge in the Province of Negros Occidental, on September 30.

In a statement issued by the City government Public Information Office, the LGU forged an alliance with the foundation and OCR team for the planning, organizing, and conducting of the obstacle race.

Asenso Sidlak Foundation Inc. was represented by their president, Serafin Plotria Jr., with treasurer Mary Lizette Balandra.

World OCR Certified Coach Level 4, Cyrus Caesar Cenal, and UVM United Vismin OCR Community President Noy Zapata signed the partnership on behalf of the Musang OCR Team.

City Administrator Atty. Lindolf De Castro joined Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez as a witness to the signing of the agreement.

Councilors Derek Palanca, Teresita Bartolome, Dexter Senido, and Richard Julius Sabalan graced the ceremonial MOA signing and showed their support for the upcoming event.

The OCR challenge will benchmark the sports tourism development in Victorias, as the LGU aims to make this an annual sports event in the city, according to a statement issued by the City PIO.*
