All policemen and traffic enforcers in Victorias City, Negros Occidental, have tested negative for use of illegal drugs, a statement from the city government Public Information Office said.
A total of 82 policemen assigned at the Victorias City Police Station, and 45 traffic enforcers underwent drug testing on January 17 and February 8, administered by the PNP Crime Laboratory Office, and City Health Office.
As all personnel tested negative for drugs, this reflects the commitment and dedication of both the Victorias City Police Station and the city government under the leadership of Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez to promote a drug-free city and maintain integrity and public trust, the statement said.
Hence, the successful completion of drug tests reinforced the city’s law enforcement and traffic management teams, it added.
Furthermore, their commitment to upholding high standards of conduct and integrity serves as a testament to their unwavering dedication to public service and the well-being of the community, the statement further said.*
