The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Victorias City in Negros Occidental, under the leadership of Vice Mayor Abelardo Bantug III, made City Council history by approving the proposed P851 million budget for 2023, earlier than the expected time table in record time, the fastest it was achieved in 16 years.
Of the approved P851 million budget, an amount of P826 million was allocated for the City General Fund Budget and P25 million for its Economic Enterprise, which is higher compared to the 2022 budget.
The approved P851 million General Fund and Economic Enterprise budget of Victorias City for next year, is however a slight decrease, compared to this year’s P900 million, due to the reduction of its National Tax Allotment.
Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez lauded the City Council’s immediate approval of the proposed annual budget.*
