The Victorias City Treasury Office in Negros Occidental won top regional awards at the Bureau of Local Government Finance – Department of Finance Regional 4th Quarter Convention of Local Assessors, Treasurers, and their Technical Personnel held on November 27 in Aklan.
The Victorias City Treasury Office led by City Treasurer Maria Rosielyn Gustilo received the four awards, including 1st place for Highest Collection Efficiency and Year-on-Year Growth in Business Taxes, and 2nd and 3rd places for Economic Enterprise performance.
A press statement issued by the City Public Information Office said that the accomplishments reflect the outstanding leadership of Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez, City Administrator Atty. Lindolf de Castro, as well as city officials, and the hard work of the Treasury Department and its partners.
On the other hand, Barangay VI-A in Victorias City also secured third place in the City Category of the 2024 Provincial Search for the Best Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC).
Brgy 6A is headed by Punong Barangay Anna Mae Claro.*
