Victorias cops gets 4 brand new motorcycles

The mobility operations of the Victorias City Police Station got a boost after it received four brand new customized motorcycles from the city government, through Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez.

Benitez yesterday turned over the motorcycles to the Victorias City Police Station, received by PCol. Leo Pamittan, provincial police director of Negros Occidental, and city police chief, PLt. Col. Rodrigo Gutierrez, after the flag raising ceremony in front of the City Hall.

The City Business Permits and Licensing Office was also provided with a brand new double cab pickup vehicle which was also received by its head, Merlita Bayaban

In a statement issued by the City Public Information Office, the additional vehicles issued to the city police force is expected by the city government to further improve police visibility, which will pave way for more efficient and faster response to emergencies, deterring and preventing crimes, and most importantly to ensure public security.

It added that the service vehicle of BPLO will be used for fast-track inspections conducted by the Joint Inspection Team.

The City also launched its newly purchased movable LED wall to be utilized during regular flag ceremony for visual support, and another LED wall will be placed at the public plaza skating rink to serve as a platform for the City to disseminate information and updates.

In the same rites, resolutions were awarded to Jackie Lou Suarez of Barangay III for winning a bronze medal in the Women’s Doubles Event of the SEA Deaf Games Bowling Tournament in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Sirach Anne Magbanua for successfully passing the Geologist Licensure Examination and Karl Theodore Hiavia Zerrudo for winning bronze, silver, and three gold medals during the Pintaflores Swimfest held on October 12.

The city government also awarded the winners of the Search for Best Barangay Council for the Protection of Children or BCPC Functionality Assessment in November 28, with Barangays XIII, XIX-A, and X winning first, second, and third place, respectively.*
