Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez yesterday turned over a solar-powered mobile power station to the Victorias City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (VCDRRMO) during the regular flag-raising ceremony at the City Public Plaza.
The new mobile power station is equipped with foldable solar panels, satellite internet, and Bluetooth, ensuring a reliable backup power source for critical city services, according to a statement issued by the City Public Information Office.
It will also support field operations and provide uninterrupted power during public events and natural disasters.
The provision of the mobile power station is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to improve disaster preparedness and enhance the delivery of essential services.
The turnover of the solar-powered mobile station marks a significant milestone for the city, reflecting the administration’s commitment to sustainability, disaster preparedness, and public safety, the statement said.*
