Before the end of 2025, the City Government of Victorias distributed cash aid to 260 students who are persons with disability (PWD).
Each beneficiary received P2,000, covering assistance from September to December 2025, in accordance with Republic Act No. 9442, which amends the Magna Carta for Disabled Persons and grants educational support to PWDs.
Social Welfare Officer I Ricky Lapidante Jr., who led the distribution event, emphasized the city government’s unwavering commitment to inclusive education and ensuring equal opportunities for children with special needs.
Meanwhile, the Office of Third District Representative Miguel Javier Benitez reported that their office released approximately P24.5 million in medical assistance for the year 2025.
In a statement, The Metro Third Bulletin disclosed that a total of P24,547,785.82 was distributed to 1,093 indigent and financially incapacitated individuals across the district, providing crucial support for their medical needs.
The assistance was provided under the Medical Assistance for Indigent and Financially Incapacitated Patients Program (MAIFIPP).
Most beneficiaries were from Silay City, with a total of 394, followed by Talisay City with 255, and Victorias City with 182. Additional beneficiaries included 135 in EB Magalona and 120 in Murcia.*
