The Art Association of Bacolod-Negros (AAB-N) is celebrating its 45th anniversary with a virtual exhibition, and 32 works from 18 visual artists are featured in a virtual venue that can be accessed via www.aabgallery.weebly.com.
The participating artists include Mike Borromeo, May May Camarinez, Tibo Deocades, Vicky Gasper, Dolly Gatuslao, Sonny Golez, Rene Gonzaga, Rachel Gonzales, Xel Gonzales, Remus Janna, Rodney Martinez, Maria Catalina Medina, Alexis Monfort, RPG, Leah Samson, Dennis Valenciano, Gigi Villamor, and Revo Yanson.
Yanson shared that “AAB-N in general is a collective of artists with different orientations and artistic directions. Within the collective, you can find visual artists bannering traditional art form, socially relevant art, abstract art, psychological and metaphysical art, modern art up to the most contemporary art form. It aims to encourage Bacolod-based artists to nurture their art by providing them with venues (physical and virtual galleries) and art activities like our Sunday sketching sessions, plein air sessions, and workshops.”*
