
VMA Global College & Training Centers Inc. was recommended immediately by an ISO 9001: 2015 certification for its campus quality management system, during an audit held on May 16 to 17, a press release from VMA said.
In the course of the conducted audit, SOCOTEC Certification Philippines is recommending a continuing certification, it said.
ISO 9001: 2015 is an internationally recognized system that enhances the quality of service delivery. VMA has conducted ongoing training, assessment and consultation, as well as internal audits to provide quality training and education that promotes a culture of learning. This helps to produce highly qualified workers able to respond to the needs of the global market. All faculty, staff and management have a shared commitment to continuously improving the quality of documents to meet the needs of clients, the press release said.
The commitment of the organization to continuous improvements in quality management systems has been described as very impressive by SOCOTEC auditors Jose Emmanuel Thomas Diel, Erwin Quinto, and Capt. Nicanor Altares.
The top management and process owners demonstrated strong commitment and understanding of the requirements of the standard, and the auditees have been supportive of the findings. The documents have been presented in a timely manner, and significant development and achievement were noted in various areas such as facilities, document management system, etc., it added.
CHED REGIONAL QUALITY AWARD
Meanwhile, VMA also recently received the Best Flexible Learning Implementer award by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) IV, during its 29th Founding Anniversary Celebration, 3rd National Higher Education Day, and 2nd CHED Regional Quality Awards Ceremony in Western Visayas State University, Iloilo City.
The CHED Regional Quality Award intends to recognize the efforts and initiatives of HEI’s faculty, staff, and administrators in the implementation of appropriate teaching and learning approaches, retrofit facilities and other teaching and learning resources, and formulate policies, procedures, and guidelines using data-driven and participatory approaches; and its engagement in sharing of resources, consortia and other noteworthy initiatives in adherence to the standards and requirements set in virtue of CHED Memo Orders and related issuances of the Commission, it said.
This recognition is a revelation of VMA’s continual efforts, commitment, and excellent performance in providing quality education to its stakeholders, the press release added.*
