VMA celebrates Christmas party

VMA Global College recently celebrated its much-awaited Christmas Party at Roy’s Hotel, Bacolod City, with an exciting event that brought together over 200 faculty and staff members.

The festive gathering, filled with joy and camaraderie, was made even more special with carefully planned programs by the Executive Vice President (EVP) Dr. Remedios Johanna Vargas, designed to invigorate and uplift the well-being of all attendees.

The event was marked by a series of fun and engaging activities, including games, team-building exercises, and thrilling raffles, which kept the participants on their toes. Staff members were delighted to receive cash prizes, door prizes, and bonuses, making the occasion even more memorable. These activities not only celebrated the holiday season but also fostered a sense of unity and excitement among the faculty and staff.

During his message, Capt. Nino Elson Salabas, President of VMA Global College and Training Centers, Inc., expressed his gratitude and shared an inspiring vision for the institution’s future. He emphasized the importance of collaboration and highlighted the need to focus on the continuous development of VMA, not only in terms of physical facilities—which will soon be renovated and expanded—but also in enhancing the quality of education for students. He also mentioned the upcoming Criminology course as part of VMA’s expanding academic offerings.

“The maritime industry is looking to VMA for future generations of students. The trust and confidence of the maritime shipping companies are vital to our success. But we must never become complacent with where we are. We must strive harder to ensure that the success of our students in the future is rooted in our capabilities here at VMA. Let’s continue working together for the betterment of our institution, and may we always remember to take our part in helping each other. In God, we pray,” said Salabas.

The festivities concluded with an exciting exchange of gifts, as faculty and staff enjoyed their time together. The lunch that followed was a sumptuous feast, providing the perfect opportunity for fellowship and strengthening relationships within the VMA community.*
