A week-long anti-drug campaign of the police in Western Visayas that ran from October 15 to 21, has led to the arrest of 61 drug suspects and yielded P27.6 million worth of illegal drugs.

In a report, the Police Regional Office 6 said that the contribution of the Bacolod City Police Office to the accomplishments was the arrest of 11 drug suspects and the recovery of P10,331,240 worth of illegal drugs.

On the other hand, the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office netted 16 drug suspects, whose apprehensions yielded P411,536 worth of suspected shabu.

Two of the largest single drug hauls were carried out by the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) and the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO), which recorded 22 arrests and seizure of P11,832,000 worth of suspected shabu.

The Aklan, Antique, and Iloilo Police Provincial Offices also successfully arrested 12 drug suspects and recovered P5,038,800 worth of illegal drugs.

While he lauded the collective effort of the PNP and the community in the fight against illegal drugs, PBrig. Gen.
