A two-woman show opened at the McCafe of McDonald’s The Upper East in Bacolod City on October 31 featuring the artworks of Caroline Alejo and Michelle Ma Belle Tupaz-Corteza.
“Wild in Bloom” is an invitation to witness life in its most vibrant, untamed form.
The exhibition is not only about flowers, birds, and coral rendered in paint and paper — it is about the resilience of ecosystems, the interdependence of species, and the human responsibility to nurture what blooms around us, the artist’s statement said.
Each piece is layered with texture and symbolism, created through collaborative hands and shared imagination. The tactile qualities of paper, the vividness of color, and the interplay of light and shadow remind us that art, like nature, is alive — constantly shifting, growing, and demanding care.

At its heart, “Wild in Bloom” is a dialogue: between artists and community, between memory and possibility, between the fragility of the natural world and the strength of collective action. It asks us to pause, to touch, to reflect, and to remember that we, too, are part of this symphony of life. To bloom wildly is to resist silence, to honor diversity, and to embrace the beauty of becoming together.*
