Winning streak continues for Beer na Beer

In the first game, it was all Tanduay Ice from the get go, as they built a 15-point lead after the first quarter. The Summit were not able to keep up with the Ice as they turned cold in the second quarter, such that they entered halftime down by thirty-six points, 67-31.

Faced with a steep deficit, Summit could not put up a fight over the next two quarters, as Tanduay Ice coasted to a convincing 106-66 win.

Carlo Chu led the way with 22 points, followed by Ervin Tan’s 20 points and the player of the game honors, while Marc Jalapa generated 15 points. Edward Baniel notched 15 points for the Summit, followed by Jet Pili who recorded 14 points, while DK Equipaje registered 12 points.

The other game was between Beer na Beer and Absolute was a more competitive contest where the teams traded buckets throughout the first quarter that ended with a score of 18-16.

However, Beer na Beer were able to steadily build a lead in the second frame and entered halftime up by seven points. They dominated again in the third quarter, winning the frame 21-16 to hold a double digit lead heading into the final 10 minutes with a score line of 61-49.

The Absolute picked up the pace in the fourth, but Beer na Beer stayed a step ahead and charged to their win with a final score of 79-70.

Michael Deocadiz finished the game with 27 points for Beer na Beer along with Player of the game honors, while Kendrick Deloria and Raffy Canizares had 16 points each. Jessie Moreno led Absolute with 19 points, Ronald Delada recorded 15, while Matt Deles and Doc Emil Guazon tallied 13 and 12 points, respectively.*
