Women artists host ‘Kuring’ exhibit

October 29 is celebrated as International Cat Day to raise awareness on cat adoption.

It serves as a day to appreciate the joy and companionship cats bring into our lives and as a reminder of the care and commitment they deserve.

In celebration of International Cat Day, the Samahang Kristyanong Makasining (SAKRISMA) in partnership with the Christian Artists National Various Arts Society (CANVAS) and Babayi Art Group opened an all women art exhibition Tuesday at the second floor of Cempco building (beside Ceneco), Ciocon-Mabini streets, Bacolod City.

Titled “Kuring”, the show ran until November 3, features the works of Jasper, Karen, Miriam, and Sky Bayles, Tina De Jose,  Rose Jemino, Juliet Emperado, Mary Joy Lopez, Tina de Jose, Azel Faith Guevara, Mei Lonasco, Janice Madalag, Patty Jane Ong, Jocelyn Sabio, Chrysee Samillano, Emai Sasedor, Rhea Timtiman, and Gigi Villamor.

Guests of honor at the opening were Association of Business Women in Commerce and Industry country president and Brazaville Resort CEO and owner Phoebe Garlitos-David, Art Association of Bacolod past president and Feminine Touch founder Dolly Gatuslao, AAB-N treasurer Patty Jane Ong, and Bacolod Evangelical Church principal Kathleen Olvido.

The proceeds of the show will go to the Global Missions Center Bacolod – Negros missionaries.*
