The Feminine Touch opened an all-female art exhibit at the ground floor of the Ayala Malls Capitol Central, Bacolod City Monday that will run until October 19.
Titled “Women Strokes”, the show features the works of Dolly Gatuslao, Genevieve Abeto, Miriam Bayles, Doreen Dofitas, Sony Golez, Pablita Nava, Patty Jane Ong, Sandy Solinap, Svetlana Sevilleno, Konica Faustino, Chin Guanzon-Romorosa, and Chrysee Samillano.
Guests of honor at the opening were Board Member Rita Gatuslao, Provincial Gender and Development Focal Point System action officer Marie June Castro and photo artist Nanette Milabo.
Dolly Gatuslao founded the Feminine Touch group in 1986 composed of nine original members.
Gatuslao was a former member of Philippine Cultural Dance Group. She had toured Europe, United States and several Asian countries in 1961-63, as an ambassador of goodwill.
She was also a former member of the Art Association of the Philippines and was elected president of the longest running Art Association in Bacolod – AAB.
Gatuslao had joined many group and solo exhibits in various places since 1987 up to the present.
She is one of the members of the group that spearheaded the establishment of the Negros Museum.
She was also a member the famous international dance troupe, the Filipinescas.*
