WV cops nab 22 drug suspects, P2.6M worth of shabu

Within a period of 24 hours, from August 7 to 8, the police reported the arrest of 22 drug suspects and recovery of P2.6 million worth of suspected shabu in Western Visayas.

Among suspects arrested in 17 police operations, four were tagged as high-value individuals, while 18 others were classified as street-level individuals, according to a report of the Police Regional Office 6.

The Bacolod City Police Office logged the biggest combined volume of confiscated shabu from three arrested suspects, at 122 grams, with a market value of P830,000.

It was followed by the Iloilo Police Provincial Office, which has confiscated an estimated 93 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P632,000.

On the other hand, the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office reported on Thursday the arrest of four drug suspects on Aug. 8, which yielded an estimated 11 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P111,814.*
