The Police Regional Office 6 has reported that from August 7 to 13, it has neutralized the drug peddling activities of 111 drug personalities, following their arrests in Western Visayas, which also yielded 3.2 kilos of suspected shabu with a market value of P22.2 million.

In the same period, regional police spokesperson PMaj. Socorro Grace Borio reported that PRO 6 also recovered 173 firearms and explosives that were either surrendered or recovered in various police operations.

Twenty suspects were nabbed for illegal possession of firearms, Borio said.

On illegal gambling, 54 operations were conducted, which resulted in the arrest of 147 violators, and the recovery of P38,756 in cash bets, Borio also said.

In a statement, PBrig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, regional police director of Western Visayas, commended police officers assigned in various PNP units, for their laudable performances.
